You can pre-book the Apple iPhone 6 and its 5.5-inch sibling starting from today since the two new smartphones are officially coming to India on October 17 indeed. The one thing you really want to know has not been announced by Apple, though the prices have been leaked courtesy of mails sent from the company’s authorized sellers to customers in the country.
So without further ado, let’s get into the amount of money you’ll be blowing up on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones if you’ve already made up your mind to get one. The former is pegged at Rs 53500 for its 16GB version, while the latter costs Rs 62500 for the same memory capacity. The starting price is the same at which the exiting flagship iOS smartphone entered India last year.
Since Apple doesn’t do microSD card slots, those in need of more hoarding room will have to cough up Rs 62500 and Rs 71500 for the 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6 variants, in that order. The tech giant’s first ever phablet is nailed at Rs 71500 and Rs 80500 for 64GB and 128GB, respectively. Well, at least the prices are much lesser than the random guesses we’ve been making.

NDTV Gadgets who dug up the information on the two new iOS handsets’ prices, says that Apple has refused to comment on the report, but obviously. Those who pre-book their device are apparently set to receive it on the night of October 16. The company’s announcement about its launch in India comes as as surprise considering all the stories which have been floating about.
The folks at Apple’s headquarters in California and its executives down here were supposedly at loggerheads over when the iPhone 6 smartphonemodels could be launched in the country. With the two having invited more than 4 million pre-orders within 24 hours of sales kicking off and delays in shipments abroad, the previously revealed date of October 17 was allegedly going to be pushed back.

Since Diwali is just around the corner, it made sense for Apple to go ahead with its plan and even begin accepting pre-bookings on October 7. Now to wait for authorized resellers in India which include Redington, Ingram Micro, Rashi Peripherals and Reliance, to go official with the price details of the iPhone 6 and its bigger companion.
