HTC Desire 820 and 820q 64-bit smartphones and Desire 816G announced in India

We were expecting only the HTC Desire 820 to be launched in India this week; but the Taiwanese brand has surprised us by revealing the 820q and 816G smartphones as well. The second handset is merely a variant of the new mid-range flagship, while the third phone is a cheaper option of its original.

The HTC Desire 820 is basically the successor to the Desire 816 and it’s the first smartphone to carry the octa core Snapdragon 615 processor with 64-bit support. The 820q version will also be 64-bit enabled, but have a slower SOC through the Snapdragon 410 chip. The other difference is that the former model has 2GB RAM, while the latter comes with 1GB.
