The very first Samsung smartphone working on the nascent Tizen OS will be launched in India this November, according to a fresh report. Until it actually happens and the OS takes off successfully, the company’s Tizen ambitions will continue to be a running joke in certain circles.
The OEMs global senior management execs are apparently spending a lot of time on its Media Solutions team which is in charge of rolling out Samsung’s first Tizen phone after Diwali. Bear in mind that this won’t be a flagship device, but most likely a wallet-friendly one.
Samsung is taking hit after hit in the budget smartphone market in India owing to homegrown players like Micromax, Spice, Karbonn and Lava amongst others. The open source Tizen OS might be able to offer some respite to the South Korean brand which is keen to break away from Google’s Android.

The company acknowledges that it started late, according to The Economic Times. And it’s working on providing content services such as the previously launched smart learning digital education store as well as the upcoming Club Samsung digital entertainment store, apart from the Tizen OS.
Not too long ago, the mobile manufacturer was reported to have ditched development of its Samsung Z handset running Tizen in order to work on entry-level offerings instead. We will have to wait until November to find out what’s in store in terms of specs.

According to rumors and a Zauba listing, the Samsung Tizen smatphone to be launched in India this November may go by the model number SM-Z130H and there may be a SM-Z130E too.
