ZTE V5 outed in India exclusively through Snapdeal for Rs 10999

If we haven’t bored your pants off with news about mid-range smartphones, here’s another one dubbed the ZTE V5 which has been launched in India for a price of Rs 10999. The smartphone also goes by the added moniker ‘Redbull,’ if you ask around for it when in China where it also offers 4G connectivity.

5-inch smartphones have been arriving in the Indian market with alarming regularity and there’s one to fit every budget starting with the recently unveiled Celkon Millennium Glory Q5 for Rs 7299 and going as high as the Oppo Find 7 which costs Rs 37990. So the ZTE V5 is not particularly interesting in terms of screen size.

Does the V5’s 13MP Sony main camera and 5MP front lens set it apart from other offerings? The Oppo smartphone we’ve mentioned above, the Xolo Play 8X-1100, the Wickedleak Wammy Note 3, the Lava Iris X5 and the Karbonn Titanium S19 deliver a similar combination for those who’ve let go of their digital cameras in favor of such devices.

But only the last three can compete with the ZTE V5 with regards to price. As for the other features that are pretty decent about the Redbull, there’s its quad core Qualcomm chip clocked at 1.2GHz, Android KitKat out of the box and dual SIM card slots. Mind you, we’d take the Xiaomi Mi 3 over it any day of the week.
