Microsoft Nokia Lumia 530 budget handset has arrived in India at Rs 7349

Microsoft has now released its budget-based Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone in India with its price set at Rs 7349, sending a clear challenge to all other entry-level players in the country. As has been the case lately, the Redmond-based company is still finding it really difficult to let go of the Nokia branding despite having taken over the Finnish company’s business.

Nokia is mainly known for its lineup of affordable phones in India, but it’s taking a serious beating from competitors both from within the country as well as those abroad. Of course, Microsoft did try to trim some fat recently by announcing that it would be ditching the Android operating system and therefore, the unpopular X series of smartphones. Seems as though it’s going to be Windows Phone and Lumia all the way from now onwards.
