Amazon India has launched a new promotion with hopes of improving sales of its Kindle e-readers where the devices can be taken for a test run for a period of 15 days. Customers can choose to either keep the gadgets or return them after the trial period is complete.
While this sounds like a pretty great way to test out the e-readers Amazon has to offer, you will however, have to shell out the full retail amount for the Kindle device when picking it up. The new promotion is applicable on the Kindle Paperwhite and its 3G version as well as the original model, but not on the Android-based tablets.
After the 15-day Kindle trial, the e-commerce website will provide a full refund if you choose to send the device back. The standard return process will be applicable for the e-readers, so make sure you keep all the brochures and accessories safe. What’s more, the offer is going to be a limited time one with the end date set for July 23.

The e-commerce giant is offering only one device per customer, so you’ll have to pick wisely as there’s no exchange. Currently, the all-new Kindle Paperwhite is retailing for Rs 10999, while the 3G model will cost you Rs 13999. The 6-inch Wi-Fi e-reader, on the other hand, is the cheapest option at Rs 5999. In other news, Amazon launched its Kindle Cloud Reader service last month offering access to a wide catalog of e-books from a web browser or mobile device.
