BlackBerry Z3 smartphone outed in India priced at Rs 15990

We had expected the BlackBerry Z3 India price to be a little lower than this, but the Canadian brand deems Rs 15990 to be an apt price to battle cheap Android and Windows Phone handsets head on. The Z3 has been put up for pre-order by the company, with a release date planned for July 2 it seems.

The BlackBerry Z3 is the first device from the company to be manufactured by Taiwan-based Foxconn. It’s also the cheapest BlackBerry 10 OS-equipped smartphone available right now. It comes equipped with the 10.2 version of the said software and this fall will see it receiving the 10.3 update which will grant it the ability to run Android apps.

This full-touch handset grabs a 5-inch display on its front surface, granting a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by a dual core processor which combines its prowess with a 1.5GB RAM module. Unlike most of the popular phones in India that fall in the affordable segment, this BlackBerry one does not offer dual SIM card slots.

Here’s a neat look at the specs of the BlackBerry Z3 smartphone:

– Display: 5-inch qHD LCD panel
– OS: BB10 (v10.2)
– Processor: 1.2GHz dual core
– Camera: 1.1MP front, 5MP rear with LED flash
– RAM: 1.5GB
– Storage: 8GB internal, 32GB expandable
– Battery: 2500mAh
