Without any official announcements, the Xolo Q1200 and Q600s Android smartphones have gone on sale in India through an online retailer. The former handset falls in the mid-range category, while the latter device is an entry-level one powered by version 4.4 KitKat to compete against the onslaught of phones from Micromax, Motorola and Lava.
The Xolo Q1200 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is a bit disappointing. But an upgrade to version 4.4 KitKat has been promised. The device sports a 5-inch display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The resolution cannot be confirmed for now as the listing states the screen to be an HD panel in one place and a qHD one in another. Considering the price, the phone is most likely to have 720p visuals.
This handset is a bit different from the traditional budget-friendly phone. It comes with a single SIM card slot and has an 8MP Sony Exmor R sensor on the rear. Rest of the specs are pretty much guessable – Powering it up is a 1.3GHz quad core processor, while memory needs are catered to by 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and a 32GB compliant microSD card slot. The phone also has a 2000mAh battery. The Xolo Q600s is smaller and has a 4.5-inch touchscreen.
The Q600s’ main features can be found below:
– Android 4.4.2 KitKat
– 4.5-inch qHD IPS display
– 1GB RAM
– 1.2GHz quad core processor
– 4GB flash storage, 64GB expandable
– 5MP rear HD camera, VGA front snapper
– 2000mAh battery
– 136.5mm x 68mm x 7.9mm dimensions

The Xolo Q1200 and Q600s have gone on sale through Snapdeal for Rs 14,999 and Rs 7,499, respectively.
