Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8, Tablet 10 now up for pre-order in India

The all new Lenovo Yoga tablets capable of being used in different modes have been introduced in India and they can already be found perched on the official website, all ready to be pre-ordered. Users interested in these devices with unconventional form factors should note that they will start shipping on November 25.

As the name suggests, the Yoga Tablet 8 is an 8-inch slab, whereas the other offers a multi-touch real estate of 10.1-inches. There are a couple of differences between the two gadgets apart from the screen size, but otherwise they are pretty similar specification-wise. The former has voice calling support and is fueled by a 6000mAh battery and the latter doesn’t let you make calls, even though it has a micro SIM card slot and draws power from a 9000mAh battery.

Now let’s take a look at the common features of the Yoga gadgets. What sets them apart from the horde of other similar devices is the cylindrical stand that lets you use them in the hold, tilt or stand modes. They render visuals in 1280 x 800p resolution and sport a 5MP primary camera and a 1.6MP webcam.

These Wi-Fi and 3G-enabled Lenovo devices integrate 1.2GHz quad core MT 8389 processor and 1GB of RAM. Both tabs rely on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and bring 16GB of onboard memory to the table. A microSD card of up to 64GB capacity can be inserted in the dedicated slot for additional hoarding space.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 costs Rs 22,999, while the Tablet 10 is priced at Rs 28,999.
