Xiaomi may unveil Mi TV in India on February 14

It’s clear that Xiaomi is getting ready to launch the Redmi Note 5 on February 14, but the smartphone may not be the only thing the company is unveiling. A new video on its Twitter page indicates that the brand is also looking to show off one of its Mi TVs.

The video features a bunch of people looking at something and wondering what it is. It’s probably a Mi TV, but the exact model is unclear right now. Times Now reports that Xiaomi is planning to launch 2 versions of the Redmi Note 5, the aforementioned Mi TV, and the Mi Box during its event.

As per sources, the Redmi Note 5 is in fact a rebranded version of the Redmi 5 Plus. This has been suspected for a while now. However, it can’t be said for certain whether the Redmi 5 corresponds to the basic Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus to the premium Redmi Note 5. This does appear to be the case, but we’ll know for sure when February 14 rolls around.

Both Redmi Note 5 iterations are expected to gain hold of a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio to emphasize the screen and not the bezels. The more expensive of the pair will probably gain a dual camera setup to distinguish itself. It might additionally start at a Rs 15000 price tag.
