Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launching in India on same day as new iPhone 6 models

The fight is on, even as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been slated to go on sale in India on the same date on which the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models will be made available in the country. So, October 17 will see rivals Samsung and Apple squaring off against each other in the race to make the most out of the Diwali shopping extravaganza in the country.

The main fight will definitely be between the Note 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus which is Cupertino’s first attempt at building a phablet, a category which the South Korean giant created and has perfected over the years. The Samsung handset is probably supposed to go on pre-order tomorrow, as something big is being teased by the company right now through Twitter.

The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 handset is available for pre-order right now, with its starting cost being Rs 53500. The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be priced much higher than that, but like we said, its main competition is with the iPhone 6 Plus which is being offered at a starting cost of Rs 62500.
