Reliance Jio announces new postpaid, prepaid plans

Now that Reliance Jio’s free offers appear to be at an end, it’s time for subscribers to figure out which paid plans to go for. The company has announced over 13 new plans for postpaid and prepaid consumers starting at Rs 19 and topping out at a whopping Rs 9999.

All packages come bundled with unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls, a certain number of free or unlimited SMS per day, and free access to Jio apps. Starting off with the basic Rs 19 prepaid plan, it’s valid for one day and serves up 100MB for non-Prime customers or 200MB for Prime customers.

The Rs 49 scheme ups the validity to 3 days and maximum data to 600MB. A Rs 96 and Rs 149 plan follow it, with the first valid for 7 days and delivering 7GB of data and the second active for 28 days and offering 2GB of data a day, plus 300 SMSes.

Data-heavy consumers can look towards the Rs 309 or Rs 509 plan for their needs. Both are valid for 84 days. The former gives away 84GB of data and the latter 168GB of data. If that’s not enough, there are also Rs 999, Rs 1999, Rs 4999, and Rs 9999 schemes up for grabs.

The last goes on for 420 days and offers 810GB of data. Moving on to postpaid plans, there are 3 options to choose from. One is priced at Rs 309 and supplies 90GB of data subject to a cap of 1GB per day for the first 3 months. Post this, consumers will get 30GB of data in a month.

The Rs 509 and Rs 999 plans follow the same pattern, offering 180GB for 3 months followed by 60GB for one month. The difference is that the first has a daily limit of 2GB and the second has no such restrictions.
