Without much pomp and show, Philips has introduced yet another mobile, a low cost GSM phone called the Philips E100. A very basic handset, the Philips E100 is for those who prefer simpler ways of staying connected.
In a monoblock form factor, the E100 comes packed with some pretty low end features. In case you are expecting a camera, sorry there’s none. In case you are still not aware, Philips phones are better known for their battery life rather than their functions
The candy bar Philips E100 boasts of a 1.8″ CSTN display, support for standard connection with GSM/GPRS, MP3 playback accompanied by 64 polyphonic ringtones, integrated FM radio and 2MB internal memory along with expandable microSD memory card slot. In addition to this the phone comes packed with 3 built-in games and applications that include an alarm clock, a calendar, a calculator and converter values. The phone also supports multiple languages including Russian.
Weighing just about 75gms and with dimensions of 104x44x13, 7 mm, there is no update on battery life for this new Philips phone. We also have no word on the price and release date.
