Nokia unveils Classic 6700 and 6303 in India

Nokia Classic Handsets The Indian market saw the introduction of two new Symbian Series 40 enabled handsets, the Nokia 6700 Classic and Nokia 6303 Classic. These phones were among the 2700 handsets which were announced earlier in the month of February, reports Fonearena.

The 6700 Classic boosts a 2.2” QVGA display. The handset is built with a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and integrated flash. It features Noise Cancellation technology that provides best voice quality. It lets users enjoy music with the MP3 player and the FM radio. Navigation is facilitated by means of internal GPS with Nokia Maps. The 6700 is available in black and chrome colors. The mobile phone is equipped with 170MB internal memory.

Vineet Taneja, Director Marketing, Nokia India mentioned, “The new devices combine the superior functionality and enhanced user experience with premium designs and materials available at an extremely competitive price point. The Nokia 6700 Classic shares the same ‘DNA’ as its predecessor Nokia 6300 and we believe that it will be one of our best selling devices in 2009.”

The 6303 Classic features a 3.2 megapixel camera that offers 8 X digital zoom and auto focus capabilities. Like the 6700, even the 6303 comes with a 2.2” QVGA display along with MP3 and FM radio. The handset offers an amazing battery life of up to 450 hours of standby time.

Reportedly, the 6700 Classic comes with a price tag of Rs. 14,000, while the 6303 Classic is retailed for Rs. 8,000.
