Nokia and AIS soon to launch Nokia Messaging: A new mobile email solution

Nokia LogoNokia and AIS, in their latest collaboration are offering the Nokia Messaging push-email service for AIS subscribers. With this service, AIS will be the first operator in Thailand to offer Nokia Messaging, which provides support to all leading consumer email solutions. It includes support for Ovi Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail as well as local email providers.

“Services like Nokia Messaging contribute to easier mobile living for our customers, and we’re happy to be the first to deliver this service in Thailand. We believe our customers will find this service appealing, both in terms of user-friendliness and price,” stated Somchai Lertsutthiwong, Executive Vice President – Marketing, AIS.

“Nokia wants to make mobile email available for as many people as possible, and the agreement with AIS is an important milestone. With Nokia Messaging, we meet people’s need for access to email whenever they want and wherever they want it,” explained Shumit Kapoor, General Manager, Nokia (Thailand) Ltd.

Nokia Messaging is a convenient way to set up and use push email service thereby allowing the user to mobilize and manage up to ten personal accounts merely on one device. Having activated the account through a simple set up process, the user can read, send, smart forward, reply to emails, download, read and attach files directly on their mobile phones. This advanced Push email service also allows fast delivery of emails to the mobile phones.

AIS has also introduced two new data packages, which make the Nokia Messaging (service) even more appealing to users. Nokia Messaging Bt 199, one of them, allows AIS consumers to use Nokia Messaging to the extent of 5MB per month for as low as Bt 199 per month. Nokia Messaging Bt 399 unlimited is another which offers unlimited usage of Nokia Messaging to its users.

Two new Nokia Eseries devices have also launched recently namely the Nokia E52 and Nokia E63 which also support Nokia Messaging. Nokia Messaging also comes with the Nokia E75, and is supported on more than 20 Nokia Symbian devices, including the Nokia N97, Nokia E71 and Nokia N98 8GB.
