Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen) gets a price cut in India

The Motorola Moto X gen 2 has gotten a lot cheaper in India and is now selling at Rs 26999 through Flipkart which still holds exclusivity over it. That a price cut of Rs 3000 which is a much awaited drop considering that the last one was carried out back in December when the 32GB model was introduced.

Speaking of which, even the higher capacity variant is also cheaper now and so are the premium versions. The 32GB model of the Motorola Moto X second gen is tagged at Rs 29999, while the 16GB option with leather or wooden rear panels will set you back by Rs 28999. This is the second reduction carried out for the Motorola Moto X in India.

And it looks like the growing number of low-cost smartphones with higher performance hardware is the main reason. The Motorola Moto X second gen isn’t the most powerful option from Motorola, but it does offer a great roster of hardware for its retail tag which sadly, isn’t as competitive as that of the OnePlus One and the Xiaomi Mi 4 that pack similar components.
