Sony Cybershot DSC-WX300 price in India comes out

Sony is launching its snappy new Cybershot DSC-WX300 in India this month and has even volunteered the device’s price which is marked below Rs. 20,000. There are several categories under which the company classifies its cameras – professional compact, super high zoom, compact & stylish, entry level and compact high zoom.

The Sony Cybershot DSC-WX300 has been built to fall under the last mentioned category and hence has two attractive selling points to boast about. It delivers users up to 20x optical zoom courtesy of its 4:3 25 – 500mm f/3.5 – 5.6 lens. This technology is packed into a very compact chassis measuring 96mm x 54.9mm x 25.7mm and tipping the scales at roughly 166g. The company claims it to be the smallest as well as lightest digital camera and sells it in shades of black, brown, red or blue.

The device is fitted with an 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor which allows users to capture videos in resolutions as high as 1920 x 1080p full HD, a feature which is further enhanced by Optical SteadyShot for reducing the impact of shaky hands behind the lens. Fast-moving subjects shouldn’t be able to escape the focus of the camera owing to its 10 frames per second continuous shooting skill. The best thing about it is that stills of up to 18MP can be captured through this mode.

The Japanese manufacturer hasn’t missed a step when it comes to the social aspects of this gadget either. The camera has been integrated with Wi-Fi capability in order to render two main services to owners. It may be hooked up to a smartphone or tablet and users can control how it shoots remotely. Secondly, downloading the PlayMemories Mobile application to a handset or slate will support wirelessly sharing pictures to these devices straight from the snapper.
