Price details of A3 and A4 have come to the fore thanks to the Karbonn devices having landed on the virtual shelves of Indian e-retailer, Flipkart which is selling them at Rs. 3,600 and Rs. 4,990, respectively. These entry-level dual SIM Android smartphones are being seen as direct competition for a number of recently released devices from companies like Micromax, iBall, Spice or even Samsung for that matter.
Karbonn has equipped both with decent specifications, with respect to the retail values they hold. Both the phones are being sold by Flipkart right now with all the usual offers it couples its products with. There’s Cash on Delivery of course, while a 30-day replacement guarantee has also being granted to them. Interested parties can even go for the retailer’s EMI schemes which are available with specific credit cards only.
The A3, which is the cheaper one among the two, is a black and silver colored device carrying a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen on its front. A 1GHz processor provides steam for its operations, while a 1400mAh battery keeps it going during the course. The Android Gingerbread OS runs the show for the smartphone; something that’s quite primitive considering today’s standard.
For imaging purposes, it holds a 3MP shooter on its rear, while its front provides residence to a VGA camera. Apart from 155MB internal memory, its other features include an expansion slot, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, 256MB RAM and more.
Coming to the A4, it can be observed that this smartphone is just a slight bump-up to the one we’ve mentioned above. Its screen is 4 inches in size, and is accompanied on the front by a basic webcam. The same 1GHz chipset makes its way into this one, but its camera is of a tad higher quality, at 3.2MP.
This Wi-Fi-enabled Gingerbread handset kicks in 256MB of RAM, 104MB of internal memory as well as a microSD card slot. Completing its main attributes is a 3.2MP snapper which potential users will be able to employ for clicking pictures and recording videos.
Both the Karbonn A3 and A4 can be purchased now through Flipkart at the values we’ve mentioned above. It’s not quite sure when these phones will be making their way to other retailers.
