Adding to the vast collection of accessories for Apple devices is the freshly declared Aqua Tek S case for the iPhone 4 and 4S. This rugged peripheral is noted to be a solar powered and battery boosting case.
Created by Snow Lizard Products, it boasts of an outer shell constructed from tough poly-carbonate materials equipped with rubber grips that provide added protection. As its name suggests, the Aqua Tek S protects the encased iPhone against water as well as drops, falls, scratches, thumps and accidental spills.
Andreas Haase, who is a part of the Aqua Tek S development team, commented, “The iPhone is a great device but is too fragile to withstand the rigors of the outdoor enthusiast. With Aqua Tek S take your iPhone to places where no iPhone has gone before, this is the perfect solution for rock climbers, river rafters and beach bums alike.”
This new smartphone cover will come dressed in a variety of colors and designs such as black night, urban camo and signal orange. It is also being developed in various other hues which will be available soon such as reggae camo, navy camo, desert camo, jungle camo, pink camo and Leopard. The built-in battery and solar charger allow users to indulge in adventurous activities like hiking, skiing and camping without having to worry about the power drain of the iPhone.
The Aqua Tek S case for iPhone 4 and 4S can be found online at kickstarter.com and would retail for a price of $129.99. However, it will go into production only if the pledge target amount is met by March 10 and pledges are currently being accepted for the same starting from $25.
