The rumor mill in tech town has been abuzz with stories about all kinds of devices that are set to release at the upcoming CES 2012 and one of them seems to be the LG Connect 4G MS840. This mobile device that lends support to 4G connectivity is speculated to be the third LTE capable Android handset to arrive on MetroPCS after the recently launched LG Esteem MS910 and the Samsung Galaxy Indulge devices.

Pocketnow stumbled upon a leaked picture of the MS840 which seems to resemble most other smartphones currently in the market when it waters down to form factor. Besides appearing at MetroPCS, it is very likely that the LG handset could retail through other network carriers such as Verizon and Sprint.

This upcoming phone reportedly runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and could very well come integrated with a 4-inch WVGA Nova touchscreen. It is speculated to be equipped with a 5MP rear facing main camera and a front facing VGA secondary snapper. The 4G handset is believed to be incorporated with 1GB of RAM and offer 4GB of internal storage capacity to users, the latter of which can be expanded through the embedded microSD card slot.

According to Pocketnow, the MS840 tag in the name of the LG Connect indicates that it may turn out to be a less endowed version of the MS855 LG Esteem which was MetoPCS’ variant of the LG Optimus Black. Also, this gadget is apparently not only exclusive to MetroPCS, but may come through Verizon as the VS840. Its Sprint variant could be dubbed the LS840.

Those who want to know more about the LG Connect 4G MS840 will have to wait till January 13 when it is expected to be released at the CES 2012.
