The ever increasing popularity of the social networking website, Facebook could be the driving factor behind the creation and launch of the Motorola Motokey Social mobile phone. The device is embedded with a dedicated button for Facebook that offers a one-key access to the website.

This compact Motorola handset comes equipped with a 2.4-inch 320 x 240p capacitive QVGA touchscreen and gives users the option of typing in text through the display or the full QWERTY keypad. Measuring 105.5mm x 60mm x 9.98mm, it offers talk time and standby time of up to 8 hours and 28 days, respectively. The 10mm slim Motokey Social is also incorporated with a 3MP camera and FM radio. It offers support for Bluetooth connectivity and is capable of facilitating speedy USB 2.0 file transfer.

Weighing 87g, it features the Opera Mini browser and comes preinstalled with various applications like the RSS news/weather widget and PC sync as well as email apps such as POP3/SMTP and IMAP. Furthermore, the new device offers users an option of two interface themes, five different home screens and in-built links to Facebook, Twitter and other such popular social networking sites.

The Motorola Motokey Social mobile phone price and availability reads as $89.99 and November 21 respectively for Telus prepaid customers.
