Motorola Admiral Certain pictures of the upcoming Motorola Admiral mobile phone have found their way to the web. These leaked photographs of the handset, whose official release date is still in the dark, seem to have created quite a buzz in tech world regarding its arrival.

Just last month a leaked specifications sheet of the handset had surfaced on the internet. Like its name suggests, the Admiral should be a tough cookie since it poses as a military-certified Android device and is shock, dust, vibration, solar radiation, water and temperature proof. The pictures were procured by Engadget from an ‘official’ video of Sprint’s CDMA-based Direct Connect service on YouTube. This has given rise to speculations that this mobile phone may soon be heading to Sprint.

The Admiral from Motorola is also known as the XT603 and it will reportedly possess instant push to talk capabilities, according to the post. It should come equipped with a 5MP camera for 720p HD video recording and run on an 860mAh battery.

Featuring a 3.1-inch display with 480 x 600p resolution output capacity, the device may be powered by a 1.2GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU and incorporate 4GB of internal storage. Believed to operate on Android 2.3, the upcoming handset will integrate the Motorola Blur user interface. Besides these features, it also accommodates a slim QWERTY keyboard.

Details regarding the pricing, availability and release of the Motorola Admiral have not been revealed officially yet.
