QWERTY keypads are here to stay! Such keyboards augment the computing experience proffered by phones these days. Today, Verizon Wireless and LG pull back the curtains to display the LG Octane that will hit the streets by tomorrow.

This beauty flaunts gorgeous dark brown exteriors while flipping out a full QWERTY keyboard. The Octane integrates the Social Beat Widget which amalgams several social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace coupled with 50 sports, news, as well as entertainment feeds. The phone has an in-built music player featuring a music library, repeat and shuffle abilities, plus stereo sound when using the headset or Bluetooth compatible audio devices.

It is Bluetooth 2.1 enabled and supports profiles such as hands-free, headset, object push for vCard and vCalendar. Moreover the device also provides support for dial-up networking, file transfer, stereo, phonebook access, basic imaging, human interface, basic printing, message access, along with instant sharing of music, photos and videos. Fitted with a microSD slot rendering up to 16GB of memory support, this handset enables users to give voice commands for several basic functions.

The LG Octane flashes a price tag of $99.99 along with a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. The handset will be retailing tomorrow on the official Verizon website and Verizon Wireless Communications Stores.
