Samsung Freeform II

Earlier in the year, Samsung released a text-based handset dubbed Freeform via U.S. Cellular. The company has now devised a new iteration of the handset in Samsung Freeform II. It has been announced that the device is now available across MetroPCS retail stores.

Sporting a stylish bar design, this handset has been drenched in black and displays a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT screen. Embedded with a four-row QWERTY keypad, the phone allows users to communicate smoothly with the help of text and picture messaging. The device encloses several entertainment features including widget support, MP3 music player and 1.3MP camera along with One Touch Messaging, Calendar and Speakerphone.

Customers can store a wide range of images, music and other content on this handset as its memory can be expanded up to 16GB with a microSD card. The integrated stereo Bluetooth Wireless technology enables them to share multimedia content stored on their phone with friends and family. Additionally, Metro apps such as MetroNavigator GS Navigation System, Metro 411 Directory Assistance, mobile IM and others have been enveloped into the device.

Weighing merely 3.81 ounces, Freeform II extends a talktime of approximately 5 hours while it can be used on the standby mode for about 550 hours. Supported by a standard 3.7 1000mAh Volt Lithium Ion Battery, this CDMA 800MhMHz/PCS 1900MHz, AWS Band 1700/2100MHz handset offers M4 and T3 hearing aid compatibility.

Users can pick the Samsung Freeform II SCH-r360 from several MetroPCS retail outlets and the official website of the manufacturer. We’ve not heard about the pricing details of this handset.
