India’s social networking buffs have some dulcet news in store for them. The HTC Wildfire now books a flight to India backpacking with a suite of enticing features. HTC and Reliance have teamed up to doff the silk of the freshly packed Wildfire. Earlier we had reported on the availability of this device through 3. Bringing along with it a comprehensive 3G experience, this Android 2.1 smartphone features the HTC Sense UI experience.

“Social networks have really caught on the fancy of today’s young generation, who like to stay seamlessly connected with each other even while on-the-go,” said Ajay Sharma, Country Head, and HTC India. “The stylishly designed HTC Wildfire combined with the HTC Sense experience bring all your communication requirements into one place, whether it’s through Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, Flickr, text messages, images or email, ensuring that one is never far away from the conversation and always close to one’s friends.”

The device will be released on (Reliance Mobile) GSM network and will come accompanied with 500MB data free every month for the next six months. Operating on a Qualcomm processor this handset supports a flash memory of 512MB with 384MB RAM. It (also) comes with slots for expandable memory cards. This device is loaded with enticing features like G-sensor, optical joystick, light sensor, proximity sensor and digital compass.

This Bluetooth-enabled smartphone sports a 5MP camera which leverages on its 3.2”capacitive touchscreen. The HTC Wildfire bundles up features like FM radio, media player and enhanced caller ID. Additionally, it renders support to Wi-Fi, HTML web browser, email, and other functionalities of the mobile phone.

The HTC Wildfire will be retailing at Rs. 16,590 at all HTC authorized resellers in the country.
