Here’s a bit of news for those who may be mulling over a new handset purchase and wouldn’t mind waiting a bit for one. After the 32GB X6, Nokia has come out with a 16GB version of the X6 that is cited to have enough memory capacity for around 5,500 songs.

The phone will run Symbian and sports a 3.2” capacitive widescreen that is touch-sensitive. It has an in-built 5MP camera boasting of Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. Its TV-out connectivity will allow users to view recorded content on their home TV. Moreover, videos may be edited directly on the phone.

The device allows for 4.5 hours of video playback, 11.5 hours of standby time and 18 days of standby time. For ardent gamers, it will come pre-loaded with Spore by EA, Asphalt4 and DJ Mix Tour by Gameloft. Ovi Maps will deliver owners free walk and drive navigation as also Michelin and Lonely Planet guides.

Nokia’s 16GB X6 will hit shelves within this quarter in shades of black, white, white with yellow highlights as well as white with pink highlights. The pricing details are foggy for now.
