FCC approves Dell Mini 3iX

It seems that Dell Mini 3iX is all set to hit the shelves. This can be concluded from recent reports from UnwiredView which states that the Dell handset has received approval from FCC.

Reportedly, the Dell Mini 3iX is an Android based smartphone. However, we wonder which version of Android OS the handset will carry. The Dell mobile phone is inclusive of 850/1900 GSM and UMTS bands and is said to be 3G enabled. Further, it features Wi-Fi, unlike the China-bound Mini 3i.

Just like the Dell Mini 3i, the 3iX sports a huge 3.5-inch touchscreen display with 640 x 360 pixels resolution. The device is equipped with a 3 megapixel auto-focus camera. Further, the Dell handset supports A-GPS and Microsoft Exchange support.

The pricing and the availability details of the Dell Mini 3iX are still under wraps. However, it is believed that the handset will be launched by the US network carrier AT&T by early 2010. The Dell Mini 3iX will then become the first Android handset to be launched by the US network carrier.
