The upcoming Mobile World Congress 2012 appears to have lots of goodies in store for tech enthusiasts and one of them would be the new design identity series called the LG L-Style. This offering consists of three new forthcoming smartphones dubbed the LG Optimus L3, L5 and L7.
The new lineup of handsets feature a trademark exterior design created by LG so that its mobile devices stand apart from the clutter of other smartphones. According to the company, the LG Optimus entrants sport a timeless appearance embellished with fine details. Powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the LG Optimus L3, L5 and L7 will come incorporated with touchscreen displays measuring 3.2 inches, 4 inches and 4.3 inches, respectively.
Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company, explained, “Design is consistently the top or second most important factor for customers when choosing a mobile phone. With smartphones, we sometimes took a more functional approach to design but with L-Style we’re going back to our roots as a company focused on how our products fit into the lifestyle of our customers.”
There are five primary aesthetics components that define the smartphones in the L-Style design series. These include the Modern Square Style that provides a comfortable grip, Floating Mass technology which makes the devices look slimmer, Seamless Layout for a more intuitive arrangement of keys, Sensuous Slim Shape and Harmonized Design Contrast which utilizes metallic accents.
While the LG Optimus L3 is scheduled to hit Europe next month, the LG Optimus L5 and L7 would be released sometime during the first half of this year. The price and availability details are currently not known and would be disclosed at a later date. They will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2012 to be held in Barcelona between February 27 and March 1.
