Launched in February this year, the Samsung Galaxy S II is now available through AT&T for a price of $199. The sophisticated smartphone offering 4G HSPA+, features a 4.3-inch super AMOLED plus touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution.

This slim handset measuring 126mm x 66mm x 9mm, runs on a Dual-Core 1.2GHz processor which promises to deliver speedy multitasking and is capable of supporting HTML and Flash applications. Operating on Android Gingerbread, it comes with 16GB of internal memory and integrates a microSD slot for expanding storage up to 32GB.

The new device incorporates an 8MP rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash, which allows users to capture 1080p video in HD. It also features a 2MP front facing camera and weighs 117g. This handset comes with tools like Kies Air, Media and Social Hub , Amazon Kindle, qik video chat, mSpot movies, City ID, etc.

The Galaxy S II employs Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and offers support for various connectivity options like GPRS, Edge and Bluetooth. Powered by a 1650mAh battery, it provides a talk and standby time of up to 3 hours and 250 hours respectively. It possesses various functionalities for email and messaging such as Google Talk, POP3/IMAP, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and Gmail.

The Samsung Galaxy S II can now be bought from AT&T for a price of $199 with a two year contract.
