HBO GO app forays to entertain iOS and Android users

The present application markets are flooded with numerous live TV streaming apps to highly optimize the overall mobile TV experience. Home Box Office has sought to up the ante by launching its new HBO GO app for iOS and Android-based devices.

The new TV streaming service enables users to view more than 1,400 of HBO shows, including HBO original programming, popular movies, comedies, sports as well as episodes from shows such as True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Entourage, Sex and the City and more. Additionally, it exhibits special behind-the-scenes extras and bonus features.

Television buffs can now instantly access this app to catch up on most of their favorite TV shows wherever they are. It also enables the creation of customized watchlist comprising of movies and shows for later viewing based on the user’s convenience. The app further includes a Series Pass for loading personal lists with all preferred HBO original series.

The newly unleashed software requires a 3G connection for screening content on mobile phones. It is compatible with the iPhone 3GS and 4, while it also works well with Android-driven devices based on version 2.1 to 2.3.3.

The free HBO GO app is available for download through Apple’s App Store and Android Market.
