In-app Billing enters Android Market

On-the-go payments may put several mobile enthusiasts at ease. Keeping this in view, Android Developers blog has revealed the launch of Android Market In-app Billing in its recent blog post.

With this new inclusion, Android developers can publish apps which utilize in-app billing and enable users to purchase items with the app. It also offers varied ways to monetize apps with try-and-buy, virtual goods, upgrades, and other billing models, says the blog.

To get started with In-app Billing, detailed documentation and complete sample app have been provided which display implementation of the service in the desired app. Users can set-up in-app purchase lists in the Android Mrket and test the implementation. The blog further states, “It’s absolutely essential that you review the security guidelines to make sure your billing implementation is secure.”

There are several apps which are already utilizing the service such as Tap Tap Revenge by Disney Mobile, Deer Hunter Challenge HD, Dungeon Defenders: FW Deluxe by Trendy Entertainment and more.
