Peel appSearching high and low for that TV guide to look up the timings of desired shows? Well, entertainment enthusiasts need not hunt anymore as Peel Technologies brings forth a free app that offers them a guide to what’s available on TV. The software is touted to provide ‘top picks’ after knowing that TV shows owners like.

The app displays separate views for movies, TV shows and sports while delivering summaries of the same through cover art, episode information, the channel number and viewing times. After opting for the desired programs, the offering customizes its Top Picks in order to reflect just what the user likes. Sports and shows only acquired on the available channels are shown which include optional premium channels as well.

If iPhone owners have a particular show in mind, they can easily find it through the simple search interface provided by the app. Besides enjoying the programs, entertainment buffs are also able to share what they are currently watching on social network websites such as Twitter and Facebook with one step. Handset owners can even plan out their entire week by stoking up on current as well as future time slots.

Claimed to be available only in the US, the Peel app can be acquired absolutely free of cost from iTunes and requires iOS 3.0 and up.
