Verizon HTC 7 Trophy

A couple of days back, we reported that Sprint will release its premier Windows Phone 7 smartphone namely HTC Arrive by March 20, 2011. Now it seems Verizon is readying itself to put the HTC 7 Trophy up onto its mantle for all to see by late March this year. According to the company, the device in question is touted to be its first Windows Phone 7.

As WinRumors suggest, the HTC 7 phone along with the HTC Arrive from Sprint will both make their way onto the mobile terrain with Windows Phone 7’s first major update which is codenamed NoDo. This upgrade will apparently already be infused within the devices before they get shipped to stores.

Thanks to this inclusion, the copy and paste functionality will be available on the Microsoft platform. Furthermore, the update is also said to enhance application start-up and resume times. Apparently, this offering was delayed many times in the past as device manufacturers and operators showed their concerns regarding the Microsoft upgrade.

To further give eager-beavers a taste of just what to expect late March, Engadget has acquired a picture of the HTC Trophy complete with the Verizon logo adorning the top of the device. WinRumors reveals that the HTC 7 Trophy will unfurl through Verizon about the same time as the HTC Arrive from Sprint. The device is touted to be tagged at $200 with a two-year contract.
