New Twitter app signs in for Windows Phone 7 users

Twitterati’s behold a new twitter app has come up for all those Windows loyal fans. The official Twitter blog introduces ‘Twitter for Windows Phone’ for all Windows Phone 7 enabled handsets.

Social butterflies can expect all their favorite Twittering features to be present in this software including the ability to access messages, lists, suggested users, and their timeline. Moreover, it brings out a cool way of exploring the SNS without even signing in.

Metro, the platform’s design and user interface is well suited for Twitter since it’s easy to use, fast and simple. The UI has introduced Pivots, an all new way of checking out information on the display. These let users swipe left or right to view different types or categories of information in the same app.

This application has been created in conjunction with their development partner, IdentityMine. The company used an open source REST API library, Tweet Sharp as the basis of their software. IdentityMine has plans to unfurl some enhancements back into open source.

The company elucidates that they have plans to build additional innovative experiences for the Windows Phone 7 platform and other operating systems.
