It’s raining applications in the Android Market. The growing popularity for this Google operating system has been felt by platform developers since quite a few months now. Interestingly it appears as if the App Store is going to get stiff competition from the Android guys. The Android Market has crossed the 100,000 application benchmark. Well, that is exactly what a Twitter link elucidates.
“One hundred thousand apps in Android Market.” tweets AndroidDev.
Last time the Android Market as a whole made news, was when the Android Developers blog stated that it was expanding to 18 more countries. We also have seen a number of applications stride into this castle of software. In fact recently, the popular Angry Birds crossed its own one million mark on the Android Market.
Moreover just a few days back, the Winamp software also made its way to this app house with major intentions of alluring the Google loyal music aficionados. Apparently, it seems as if in the next few months the Android world will gain even more popularity achieving new highs.
