Nokia commences N8 shipments

The month of September has packed its bags and is ready to leave, but wait a second it has probably brought us a final goodbye gift. Wrapped in a patented Nokia box, mobile aficionados will soon see the Nokia N8 hitting retail shelves, as its shipments have finally begun. The company elucidates its distribution plans for the much awaited Symbian^3 operating N8.

Jo Harlow, Senior Vice President, Smartphones, Nokia. stated, “With the N8, and the new Symbian software, we are bringing a familiar, faster and more intuitive user experience to the world’s most popular smartphone platform. The Nokia N8 has received the highest amount of consumer pre-orders in Nokia history and we are thrilled to start shipments of the N8, the first of Nokia’s new Symbian smartphone range.”

This smartphone has been painted in five vibrant hues of green, blue, orange, silver white and dark grey. Fitted with a 12MP sensor featuring Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, users can record videos with HD quality. This complete touchscreen device has a plethora of entertainment features which can be enjoyed with Dolby Digital surround sound.

In the first wave the phone will be available to users who’ve pre-ordered from the Nokia Online Shops and Nokia retail stores. Subsequently, it will hit other markets depending upon the carrier and operator, while the broad availability will come in a few weeks.
