Motorola hits China with three new MING smartphones

Chinese consumers craving for a smartphone that comes packed with the latest features in their local language will rejoice after reading this sprinkle of news. Motorola doffed the silk off three MING series entitled MT810, XT806 and A1680 into the Chinese market. These Android-based devices are specifically designed to meet the requirements of users craving for new technologies and functions.
To begin with, the MT810 handset is unveiled in collaboration with China Mobile and utilizes OPhone OS Android 2.0. The device comes equipped with a dual-touch system and a capacitive touchscreen inside the transparent cover. Other than several business applications, users can enjoy D1 (720 x 480) video capture in China’s CMMB mobile television format. They can also access more than 7000 applications and themes from China Mobile’s Market.

The XT806 device is powered by Android 2.1 and supports CDMA EVDO and GSM for receiving necessary information while traveling around the globe. Incorporated with China Telecom, the handset also integrates Quicknotes business applications and innovative tools such as work on text, voice recording, videos, pictures, sketches and screen snapshots. On its super-sharp 300dpi display, users can enjoy images and videos with utmost ease.

Depicting elegance and style of the MING heritage is the final device namely, A1680. This 3.1” AMOLED touchscreen handset supports China Unicom’s WCDMA network, WAPI and Wi-Fi capabilities. Additionally, the device also accommodates Motorola’s handwriting recognition software and sixth generation SoftStylus system that seamlessly secures users penmanship style of writing. With a 5MP camera, users can capture their favorite moment’s right on their devices.
Furthermore, there are some features which are common amongst the handsets. The MT810 and XT 806 devices are fitted with a 3.2” touchscreen display and 720HD video capture and playback. Through the XT 806 and A1680 handsets, more than 800 applications can be enjoyed via the Motorola’s SHOP4APPS feature and turn-by-turn directions by the GPS navigation capabilities as well.
