Sprint brings in Samsung Intercept

Adding to the steady march of Android devices is yet another offering from Samsung quarters. Sprint has launched the Samsung Intercept handset. This device comes preloaded with social apps and one-touch picture posting to social networking sites. Additionally it includes a 3.2”, touch-screen display, 3.2MP camera cum video recorder and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The Android 2.1 Samsung Intercept will be available in two striking colors, namely, gray steel and satin pink. Users can avail of various Google apps like Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and more than 50,000 applications presently available in the Android Market. Additionally, its powerful processor enables users to swap between various applications quickly.

The optical joystick helps users navigate through various items easily. It operates on the Sprint 3G network and includes various features like Wi-Fi capability, integrated GPS navigation and an accelerometer. In addition this device helps users organize widgets and apps as the home screen scrolls right to left. Users can enjoy music of their choice with the integrated MP3 player and storage is afforded by a microSD card slot. The phone also incorporates stereo Bluetooth wireless technology.

The Samsung Intercept is sold with Sprint’s Everything Data plans starting at $69.99 per month. Users can enjoy unlimited web access, texting and calls to and from every mobile in America on the Sprint network.
Customers can purchase Samsung Intercept from July 11 through all Sprint channels. This device will be sold at $99.99 on a two-year service agreement and a new line activation or eligible upgrade on an Everything Plan with data.
