Pantech Jest arriving through Verizon Wireless

Pantech released the Ease phone a few days back and now the company adds one more amusingly titled handset. The company partners with Verizon Wireless to introduce the Pantech Jest which is a slider phone with easy-to-use features. With a slide-out QWERTY keypad, this handset includes a 2.6” 262K color TFT display. The device depicts style with its sassy slider and manages ringtones, wallpapers and games from personal networks.
The phone boasts of a 2 megapixel camera for high quality images and video recording. Users can personalize their phone’s display by creating banners, icons and electronic signs thanks to the Self Icon personalization feature. Text, picture, video and voice messages are possible in this handset. Users can converse with their friends quickly by texting through Mobile IM and Chat functions. The optical directional keys are enabled with swipe motion technology.
The device is pre-loaded with Social Beat which directly connects to social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Users can now download ringtones, wallpapers and games from their networks to their handsets courtesy the Media Center feature. VZ Navigator allows them to get turn-by-turn directions from detailed maps of the United States.
Music lovers can now rejoice by downloading soundtracks and albums or sync playlists with the use of their PC thanks to the V Cast Music supported by Rhapsody digital music service. Users can get up-to-date information on news, sports, weather and e-mail through the Mobile Web browsing capabilities. The handset is enhanced with Stereo Bluetooth technology for wireless connections between electronic devices, headsets and hands-free systems.
The Pantech Jest is available at a price of $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new 2 year customer agreement on the company’s official website.
