Universal Music Group brings Six-String to iPhone users

Music enthusiasts can now enjoy the Six-String music app from Universal Music Group (UMG) on their iPhone. This application promises a vibrant guitar experience and also includes hits extracted from the real studio masters. The hits included in this application are from renowned artists like Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, Peter Frampton and more. Apart from these chart-bursting numbers, the user can add songs from the in-app store when desired.
The application gives the user a wide array of songs to pick and choose from. Also available for purchase are songs by 3 Doors Down, Angels and Airwaves, Beck, Dashboard Confessional, G.B.H., Gary Go, Hinder, Hollywood Undead, Kaiser Chiefs, Maroon 5, No Doubt, Papa Roach, Rise Against, Robert Palmer, Sum 41, Wolfmother, and a whole lot to be added soon! Users can not only purchase the song, but can also get the corresponding video and ringtone via iTunes from the application wherever available.
The Six-String application very originally recreates the guitar playing experience that has been borrowed from the real studio artists. When users try the application for the first time, it is essential for them to pluck, strum and change chords, to experience a totally engaging musical extravaganza. The application has no pre-requisites, and allows the user to play the guitar a la pro, anywhere, anytime.
The user can choose from the two different play modes, namely Practice mode and the Studio mode, available within the application. Within the Practice mode, the user is given a chance to get familiar with a song, while in the Studio mode users are allowed to put forth their skills and simultaneously compete and earn points to climb up the Six-String’s high-score ranking. Following the game’s release, there will be a contest, and the person with the highest score on the Six-String’s Hall of Fame scoreboard via the Plus+ Network at a specified time and date will be eligible for the prize of a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster.
Via the application, users can play the tracks at three different levels. Also the sound can be adjusted in accordance to what the user wants to hear, be it only the guitar or the guitar playing along with the master recording. The game in the initial stages will be offering the Six-String social community, wherein players can show-off their abilities and challenge other players to any track. Also the players can shout-out their scores via Facebook, Twitter and mail!
