Seeking directions to reach a specific destination is a thing of the past. There have been numerous navigation devices introduced in the market while several phones come with the ability to route one’s way. Now, Navigon has announced the launch of the Navigon MyRegion, which is a customized version of the existing Navigon iPhone navigation application, MobileNavigator.

This application gives regional map access to the Eastern, Central and Western U.S. It is potentially the first of its kind navigation application that allows users to promote themselves to additional regions in the application and on the road as well, thus providing cross-country navigation as liked. One gets a download of the US map with the first purchase of “MyRegion”, following which one can add regions through a seamless In App purchase from within the application.

Navigon MyRegion has features and functionalities synonymous to the MobileNavigator 1.4 plus Navigon MyRoutes. This aspect will be integrated into MobileNavigator North America via a forthcoming update 1.5.0 expected this spring. Navigon MyRoutes works in sync with the way the user drives, in order to offer customized and enhanced route recommendations. It also gives the user two more alternative routes which can be seen on a map, and one can also check the ETA, distance traveled and the time taken to travel. This information allows the user to take a call on the route they find the best.

Navigon MyRegion enhances the usage of mobile navigation, by offering the user a known and efficient user-interface which gives sensitive visual feedback and handy features. It states to a highly functional navigation solution for the iPhone that literally turns the iPhone into a navigational tool. Navigon MyRegion helps the user by handing out turn-by-turn directions irrespective of a cell/wireless signal, as the full map is already saved on the user’s iPhone.

This application provides the user with Google Local Search, Reality View Pro, branded in-route POI’s, flawless In App iPod controls, superior pedestrian mode, Navigon MyRoutes, and Traffic Live as part of the same application. Through Traffic Live, the user can check for themselves as to which route to take to avoid crowd and reach their destination faster. This element is available as an In App one-time buy at a special discounted rate of $19.99 until April 12. As mentioned above one can purchase the first region for a special price at $24.99 until April 12, which otherwise would cost $29.99, with no hidden costs or extra charges. Also one can avail a regional map as part of the In App purchase for a discounted rate of $12.99, which originally would have cost $14.99.
