The Tweetie 2 iPhone app is now updated with a plethora of features, and has made its way to the Apple App Store as Tweetie 2.1.
According to TechCrunch, the Twitter based application features new-style Retweets and Geotagging capabilities and also offers Twitter List support.
Interestingly, users can now report spam directly from the app. Tweetie 2.1 also shows off Twitter’s new geolocation support. Users need to simply click on the tweets to view a little map preview below it showing which city the tweet was sent from.
Reportedly, the gap detection feature is one that would attract most of the Twitter users. Now Tweetie remembers the last time the user updated its tweet stream and makes it very obvious where the new tweets start when the app is opened after it is closed for a while.
Tweetie 2 owners can grab the latest update for free from the App Store. Apparently, new users can download the Tweetie 2.1 iPhone app for $2.99.
