Google Earth 2.0 App

Over a year ago, Google launched Google Earth for the iPhone. Now, iPhone users can enjoy an updated version of Google Earth as the company is releasing their new 2.0 version of the application for the iPhone. Exciting new attributes like the facility to view maps that users can create on their desktop computer directly from their iPhone, browse through app in different languages, and superior icon selection and performance are included.

According to Google Blog, by logging in directly to their Google Maps account, users can view the same maps that they or others have created, via the My Maps interface. If a user is searching for a restaurant and they wish to view where world-famous Chef Ferran Adrià enjoys eating, the user has to merely click ‘Save to My Maps’, open Earth on the iPhone, log in with the same account information. The user will then receive his desired information.

With the newest version of Google Earth for iPhone, when a user touches an icon, a tiny glow emerges beneath their finger to enable them to know which icon they have chosen. If the finger touches more than one icon, they will be taken to a list of all icons, so they can opt for the one they are interested in.

Google has also incorporated new languages in this version. Now 31 languages are included in this version as compared to the original 18. English (U.S), English (UK), French (France), German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Arabic, Thai, Czech, Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Malaysian, Romanian, Slovak, and Croatian are the languages encompassed in the device.

Google Earth 2.0 is available for download from the Apple App Store.
