Verizon Samsung Convoy to hit stores on November 15

Verizon Samsung Convoy Few months back, rumors surfacing claimed that Verizon will be launching mid range handsets, and one of the handsets to feature in the list is the Samsung Convoy. According to Mobilewhack, Verizon Samsung Convoy will hit the stores on November 15, 2009.

The Convoy features messaging, personal organizer and speakerphone. The Samsung device which looks like a flip phone offers Bluetooth connectivity and sports a two megapixel camera. The mobile phone features Verizon’s push to talk network, as well as GPS with access to the VZ Navigator. We may witness a few other Verizon Wireless services when the handset finally hits the stores within a few days.

Apparently, the Samsung Convoy is shielded by a tough shell with rubber sidings. It seems that the flip phone is certified to meet the standard military specifications for vibration, humidity, temperature extreme, dust, shock, solar radiation, and altitude. Further, the gray colored clamshell is equipped with dedicated music controls.

Reportedly, the Samsung handset will carry a price tag of $49.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate. Features are mid-ranged, however those wishing for a rugged handset need to wait for a few more days.
