LG unfurls GD510 touchscreen phone

The search for a simple touchscreen handset has finally come to an end. LG introduces the GD510 phone with a 3-inch full touchscreen.
This touchscreen phone incorporates vital features for effective usage and eliminates unnecessary features.
“We gave the LG GD510 an optimized feature set which allowed us to concentrate on making the phone more compact and simpler to use,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Our high-end phones like the Black Label Series New LG Chocolate (LG BL40) may be getting all the attention but there’s a gap in the market for affordable touchscreen phones that we want to fill. The LG GD510 delivers all the essentials in communication, multimedia and entertainment and comes in a compact form factor as well.”
This phone comes with an 8GB internal memory that proves to be a boon for storing large data. The phone boasts of 3.0 megapixel camera allowing users to capture their cherished moments. It allows high quality image and video sharing with other users.
The large 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen is surrounded by a 4.8mm thick bezel, giving it a smooth crystal look. The device’s elegant design is accentuated by a small button. Based on the phone’s mode, this multi-function button is used as main menu, end and cancel keys. To display the handset’s function, this button has thin lining of light that flashes green or red. The phone is built of brushed aluminum that gives it a solid metallic look.
The LG GD510 will initially ship to European markets in mid-October and then other markets. LG GD 510 will be released with varying prices.
