Altec Lansing Mix Boombox

iPhone users can now experience thumping music, just by teaming their Apple device with Altec Lansing’s recent innovation known as the Mix Boombox.

The Mix Boombox packages a built-in universal dock, horn-loaded silk dome tweeters, two mid range drivers, 5.25-inch side-firing subwoofer, 5.25-inch tuned passive radiator and integrated digital FM radio. Users can power the device via electric socket or by means of 8 D batteries. The docking system allows users to charge their iPhone while listening to music.

The Boombox measures 19.7” x 9.3” x 7.7” and incorporates dual Aux in jacks, facilitating users to connect two additional audio players. The device comes inclusive of a clip-on remote that assists users to control the speakers, playlists and navigate songs easily. The docking system automatically pauses the music when a call is received on the iPhone. The Mix Boombox is designed in such a way that the device is immune to mobile phone interference, eliminating the need to switch to airplane mode.

The Mix Boombox incorporates a digital radio that packages telescopic antenna and 4 station presets. The device consists of a high contrast LCD that features track details, artist, album and station display. Moreover, the 7-band graphic equalizer provides multiple EQ modes that allow users to choose sound.

The Altec Lansing device is expectedly for approximately $300.
