Palm Pre Handset Palm is trying to launch a full Google Voice app by itself without the support of Sprint, according to TechCrunch. There are speculations that Palm is considering to initiate a deep integration with Google Voice on Pre handsets for users.

Google Voice offers lot of advantages and services to users like calling several cell and landline phones through one number at once. They can also manage text messages along with using the option to auto-transcribe voicemails.

Selected callers can also be blocked and managed according to name and number. The best part is users don’t have to port the phone number or tell everyone about the new phone number.

It integrates well with native apps such as the dialer and contacts. Moreover all the outbound calls make use of the Google Voice phone number and caller ID in place of the phone number.

The underlying device phone number is considered as the IP address for a website if it works perfectly. The Google Voice phone number will be identified as the domain number.

Reportedly Palm is in the works to launch an official app in a month’s time or so. It plans at initiating a deep integration to attract iPhone users to the Pre. Well, Palm obviously seems to want Google Voice for Pre but when and how it should incorporated the tool is not clear yet.
