Just recently, it was reported that the HTC website had started leaking HTC Hero details. Now an official announcement has revealed that the HTC Corporation has emerged with the HTC Sense, an intuitive and seamless experience that will be introduced across a wide variety of phones. The first phone to avail of this feature will be the new HTC Hero. The Hero sports a distinct design and powerful capabilities fully integrated with HTC Sense which enable it to take the Android platform to new heights.
HTC Sense enables users’ phones to work in a simple and natural way by putting people at the centre. Three fundamental principles were evolved by quietly listening and observing the way people live and communicate.
“HTC Hero introduces a more natural way for reaching out to the people and accessing your important information, not by following the status quo of todays phones, but by following how you communicate and live your life,” commented Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer, HTC Corporation. “HTC Sense is a distinct experience created to make HTC phones more simple for people to use, leaving them saying, it just makes sense.”
HTC Hero is an addition to HTCs leadership in cutting-edge design which utilizes a variety of unique devices to represent users’ individuality. The phone brags of beveled edges and an angled posterior. The HTC Hero has a distinct form factor that can fit comfortably in users’ hands and against ones’ face while answering a call. The phone has effective means to last for a long time with its anti-fingerprint screen coating for improved smudge resistance and a clearer display that lasts for a longer time. The phone sports a white Teflon coating that is the first time it is utilized in the industry. This leads to an improved, durable white surface that feels soft when touched.
The phone possesses a 3.2-inch HVGA display. Inspite of its small size and weight, the device is optimized for Web, multimedia and other content. Besides this, it features a huge range of hardware features such as GPS so that users don’t get lost while traveling, digital compass, gravity-sensor, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a 5 MP autofocus camera for clicking superior quality pictures and expandable MicroSD memory. HTC Hero boasts of a dedicated Search button that goes a step further than basic search. It offers users a more natural, contextual search experience that allows users to search through Twitter, find people in their contact list, search for emails in the inbox or search in just about any other area in Hero.
HTCs main centre of attention is the individual customer and it shapes its mobile experience accordingly. This special feature namely Sense is first introduced on the HTC Hero and is available on all HTC devices henceforth. Sense delivers on three basic principles such as Make it Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected.
The HTC Hero will be available in Europe sometime in July and in Asia later this year. Also a unique North American version will be available later in 2009.
