Nokia N97 & N86 smartphones The Nokia N97 is finally ready for purchase in the UK along side the Nokia N86 – Nokia’s first 8MP camera. After experiencing a delay of up to ten days from its launch in the US, it is going to be sold at the Nokia flagship stores in London.

Initially, the Nokia N97 will be exclusively sold through Nokia’s stores for one week. But post that period (starting June 26), customers in Britain will be able to purchase the phone through many retailers and carriers. The carrier and retailers list includes Vodafone, 3, Carphone Warehouse, T-Mobile, Orange and Phone 4U.

Currently, the unlocked version of the N97 can be directly bought from Nokia for a price of £499 (€589 or $820). The unlocked N86 with the 8MP camera attaches a price tag of £399 (€470 or $656).

If consumers find these prices too steep, they can wait for the upcoming Nokia N97 Mini, which will supposedly be launched by Vodafone during the later half of the year. It is speculated that the N97 Mini will carry a more affordable price tag.
