HTC Touch Pro,FccWith diverse versions of their flagship smartphones, HTC is keeping the FCC occupied these days. Reaching the FCC’s approval process in GSM-form is the HTC Touch Pro Raphael. The handset comes much ahead of its eagerly waited counterpart HTC Touch Diamond with US-friendly 3G radios (850/1900 MHz).

A slender smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) is an addition to HTC Touch Diamond’s sleek profile. The augmented keyboard hardware does not make the HTC Touch Pro just another distended handset as it also comprises of a flamboyant VGA touchscreen display and TouchFLO 3D.

With the non-US variant releasing much earlier than the US-spec HTC Touch Diamond, the European variant is knocking at FCC’s doors for an approval before the US-version. With a quad band EDGE support of 850 MHz and releasing prior to the HTC Touch Diamond, the HTC Touch Pro will disallow users to surf the AT&T’s 3G network.

There is no particular affirmation on the price and availability yet, and ardent Touch Pro enthusiast should see the phone coming around soon after its initial obstacle of the FCC approval has been conquered.
